Bold Strokes Books set up a booth at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.

Here’s part of our table set-up. Behind The Jesus Injection are some framed quotes for that book. I need to get something like that for my book.

Felice Picano (20th Century Un-limited and Twelve O’Clock Tales) and Eric Andrews-Katz (The Jesus Injection). Eric was very funny. He said his book’s title is pronounced, The Hay-Zeus Injection. Felice regaled us with stories about his travels.

More of our table. On the first day I spent the 1-3 shift with Sheri. That’s her book up at the top. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of her but she’s my new best friend.

I like this advertisement the best — mainly because my book is on it. (I’m like that.) Plus, this advertisement has Light on it too and everybody should read Nathan Burgoine’s book. It’s terrific.

I need a bigger scanner. This is a BSB book bag that is bigger than my 11 by 17 scanner. I probably shouldn’t have shoved this book bag into the book bag I was carrying. When I get home I’m going to iron it. I hope it doesn’t melt.

Richard Natale and me. I’m pushing my book, The Odd Fellows, of course. I read Richard’s book, Junior Willis, last night. I really liked it. Richard’s a wonderful writer. Obviously, Richard and I both think we’re movie stars. [Guillermo Luna at the Festival of Books.]

Here’s Alan Chin promoting his book The Plain of Bitter Honey. Alan was responsible for the set-up so we all owe him a big THANKS! I just waltzed in (in a manly way) and sat down. Alan did all the heavy lifting.
